After buying out another Washington, D.C. bank with 33 existing branches, PNC Bank was looking to open its first new branch in the region as soon as possible. Hiring the D.C. area's most established bank contractor, Rollins-PCI Construction, was an early move made by PNC Bank that soon paid dividends.
In about 3 short months, after unleashing its hands on, service-oriented project team, Rollins-PCI Construction was able to turn over the keys to the first new PNC Bank branch in Washington, D.C. at 1400 K Street N.W. in the heart of downtown.
The branch interior features several perimeter offices with floor to ceiling glass and light oak-colored millwork nicely complements an open and airy lobby and teller line. Marble tile in the entrance foyer and banking hall transitions nicely into a taupe and blue colored berber carpeting.
Despite typical project challenges such as back-ordered or out-of-stock materials and equipment and the permitting hurdles in D.C.’s busy construction market, the doors to this bright and inviting banking hall swung open on time and on budget, a fitting testament to the talent of the Rollins-PCI Construction team.
