Rollins-PCI Construction Names Barry Lake President; Company Expects Explosive Growth in New Business and New Hires

Forbes, December 14, 2004. Rollins-PCI Construction, one of the Washington, D.C. area's premier general contractors, announced today the appointment of Barry Lake to the position of President. With a sole focus on interior commercial construction, Rollins-PCI Construction manages the entire project from concept to completion, including planning, schedule and risk management, oversight of subcontractors, and materials and quality control.

"Rollins-PCI specializes in corporate interior office build outs and with the D.C. office market being one of the hottest in the nation we are poised to capitalize on the office space boom," said Lake, "Our unique approach to general contracting enables us to meet our client's project goals on time and on budget. Moving forward, we plan to continue to hire well qualified individuals to join our highly experienced and dedicated team of skilled tradesmen."

Although Lake has only been at the helm of Rollins-PCI Construction for less than five months, his tenure has had an immediate impact on sales as the company is on pace to double its contract volume to over $6 million. High profile projects have included a new premium retail bank branch for Capital One at a new Charles E. Smith development that is part of the Crystal City corridor revitalization. In addition, Rollins-PCI just completed new Capital One branches at Reagan National and Dulles Airports and completed the drywall and ceiling packages for Univision's new corporate offices on Constitution Avenue and Codan's new facilities in Manassas.

Prior to joining Rollins-PCI Construction, Lake was founder and president of Alexandria, Virginia-based Stafford Strategic Consulting, where he advised on growth, purchase and exit strategies for investment opportunities with an emphasis on the construction and contracting industry. From 1996-2003, Lake was the co-founder and President of Tuition Painters LLC, where he managed the company from concept to sales in excess of $2 million annually, with offices in eight mid-Atlantic states, and seeded a start-up in Canada. Prior to that, he was a Senior Real Estate Negotiator for Toronto-based Knowlton Realty Limited where he analyzed and negotiated multimillion-dollar commercial office leases from 1992-1996.

Rollins-PCI offers both union-only and "open shop" labor. This mix gives Rollin-PCI clients the piece-of-mind and flexibility knowing they can meet any commercial construction project requirements.
